So I printed each of the stages in my reduction print, just to show what each look like on there own without being layered. I have my final prints photographed along with my variable prints.

Drawing my block.
I took photos of myself with tape as references to draw my block. So I took photos at different stages of drawing on my block. The last photo is showing where I will carve as a reduction print.

Intro to woodblock
So we had a woodblock workshop this week with Sercan. He was explaining reduction relief printing, which I have never done before, so I was excited to try it out. We got two A4 blocks of wood to work on so let's get started. :D
I've been researching women's rights in different perspectives so I was thinking of doing a self portrait with tape covering my mouth to represent no speech, no choice and then have the word 'Property' across my forehead representing that in some way I belong to someone. Parent, government, someone.

Protest and Humour
So our new briefs are 'Protest' and 'Humour'. We can also combine them. I wanted to go with the humour brief the second I read it but I seem to have more ideas for protest.. Here are my mind maps for both.
